Part 2: the prequel

I must provide some context and explain the beginning. 64,852 on the odometer. 747 on the clock. A cold and wet November evening, in my SUV ( or car as I am certain to call it), tuned up, fueled up, and as ready to go as I'll ever be. The mission.... Drive from point A to point B. In my case that meant from Orangevale, CA to just outside of Boston, MA. The co-pilot is my wonderful Mom who graciously offered her assistance. The vehicle: a blue Durango 4x4. The cargo: two wonderful GSD's.  for those not familiar with GSD's, they can be quite a handful. Especially when their names are Puccini and Felix. And yes; I think calling them GSD is kinda lame. And yes they are my beloved German Shepherd Dogs (GSD). And I have wondered why not just have them be GS's since that what  most people call them. No one says," I'm thinking about getting a German shepherd dog.   If you said "German shepherd" then there is no need to tell anyone that you're talking about a dog.
Anyway
