It began today. Well it all began quite some time ago but the actual tread to pavement process began today. This is after all my exodus from the Californian sun. And now as I sit in the passenger seat of this dodge SUV, my co-pilot informs me that next time I move I should time it to be in the Spring.
Almost to Donner pass now. Haven't seen a car since the chains required check point. I have always said a 4x4 with MS tires is worth it's weight in gold on a night like this. Very weird driving in the middle of a two or three lane highway 80 with no other cars.
Oh and there is Boreal. To all you skiers and boarders, get up early for some fresh powder.
Couple minutes past 9:30 and the fluffy white stuff is happily sugar coating the landscape.
